The Preston Road area is situated on the south-eastern edge of the city of Hull, which is a thriving port with a population of approximately 300,000 people. The city is located on the Humber estuary, on the east coast of England.
The employment base is primarily light industry, together with several large employers such as Reckitt and Coleman, BP, and British Aerospace. There are two universities and the city offers a rich cultural life. Housing is plentiful in all categories and prices are typically around the national average.
